Spain: Barcelona & Ibiza

For the last week of my Euro trip, my friends and I visited Barcelona & Ibiza, Spain. We had booked several tours, most of which were of Antoni Gaudi's work and one was an exhibit of Pablo Picasso's work (this place didn't allow any kind of photography though.) Barcelona is beautiful, although when we arrived, we found out the taxi's were all on strike against Uber's return to Barcelona, so getting transportation from the airport to our BNB was a little difficult. Luckily a shuttle driver who was looking for passengers at the airport strolled by us. He warned us that around the city center the Taxi's have main streets blocked off and that some taxi drivers have harassed Uber driver's vehicles. We ended up walking everywhere we needed to be, one day we walked at least 12 miles..in the heat. Regardless, we all still enjoyed ourselves as well as our time in Barcelona. And while Ibiza was our party time, I got to see some of Ibiza's beauty as well.

La Pedrera (Casa Mila)

La Pedrera was a home for Pere Milà and Roser Segimon and was built by Gaudí. If you follow Gaudi's work, you'll come to understand his use of & respect for nature, its beings and elements. His work often times uses recycled materials, and structures will come to resemble form of nature, waves, a shell of an animal, a skeleton of a being, and constructed in order of maximizing the use of natural lighting.

Casa Batllo

Currently, Casa Batlló is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an icon of Barcelona, n essential stop to know the work of Gaudí and modernism at its best. It is also one of the best valued cultural and tourist attractions, hosting 1 million visitors a year.

Streets of Barcelona

With taxi's on strike against Uber, and my friends and I unsure of depending on their subway system to help us get around to destinations we had scheduled, we walked everywhere we needed to be. Along the way I admired much of the streets of Barcelona, and this is what I captured.

Ibiza

Basically, a party island. We came to see David Guetta, Eric Prydz, & Armin Van Buuren. We added a stop to see Alesso. Ibiza was a melting pot of beautiful people from all over. One thing I couldn't get use to was that the clubs didn't OPEN until midnight.. and they would stay open until basically the break of dawn. So there was maybe one day that we were able to function during the daytime, the rest of the time we spent resting only to be able to party at night.

Italy: Rome, Pisa, & Cinque Terre

I've been blessed with the means and ability to travel quite a lot this year, I went to the Philippines for the first time in my life with my family early this year. It was suppose to be the end of last year but some things happened and it got pushed to January of this year. 2 months later I went to Thailand with my some of my best friends. And those same friends had planned on going to Europe for an event but did not end up getting tickets for that event, and turned it into a Euro trip of friends. I hadn't purchased tickets to go until after Thailand, when I was convinced I did not want to miss out on this opportunity to travel with them yet again.

And I am glad I chose to go with, I left my heart in the parts of Italy that I seen as well as Barcelona & Ibiza, Spain. I actually cannot wait to go back to Italy to see the other beautiful cities it has. Here is some of the beauty as well as my family that I captured through my lens.

Oahu

This was my 4th time visiting the island of Oahu, Hawaii, and my friend Hai's first time ever going to Hawaii. With the help of our friends who live on the island it made for an amazing trip! My highlights are shark diving with North Shore Shark Adventures, finally jumping off the top of the rock at Waimea Bay North Shore, and getting to be at an almost isolated beach, Waimanalo Beach.
